Terms of Service

The Handpulled Noodle Last updated: 25 September 2026

These terms cover your use of our website and our online ordering.

Ordering

Placing an order through our site is an offer to buy. The order is accepted when we confirm it. We may decline an order, and if we do we will not charge you.

Menu items and prices can change. If something is unavailable after you have ordered, we will contact you to arrange a replacement or a refund for that item.

Prices shown on our own ordering site may differ from prices on third party delivery platforms, which set their own pricing.

Ordering hours

Orders can only be placed during our published ordering hours, which are shown on the ordering site and may differ from our kitchen hours.

Delivery

Delivery is available within a limited area around each restaurant. Delivery is carried out by third party dispatchers and couriers, not by our employees. Delivery times are estimates.

If you order through a third party platform, that platform manages the courier and the delivery, and their terms apply to that part of your order.

Problems with an order

Tell us and we will put it right. Our normal remedy is to remake the dish. We do not generally give refunds, but we will gladly make it again. Contact us at andrew@thehandpullednoodle.com or call the restaurant that made your order.

If you ordered through a third party delivery platform, that platform handles the refund and the courier, and you will usually get a faster answer from them. Ordering directly from us gives us far more room to fix a problem ourselves.

Allergies and dietary requirements

Our kitchens handle wheat, soy, sesame, peanuts and shellfish, among other ingredients. Some dishes contain these directly: our cold sesame noodles contain peanuts, and we serve shrimp wontons.

If you have a gluten sensitivity or intolerance, we can feed you properly. Our rice noodles and sweet potato noodles contain no gluten, and we use tamari in place of regular soy sauce. These are real dishes on the menu, not an afterthought, and plenty of people who avoid gluten eat here happily.

Our hand pulled and machine pressed wheat noodles are not gluten free.

If you have coeliac disease, we are not safe for you, and we would rather tell you than take your order. We make our dough from scratch in our own kitchens, mixing huge quantities of flour in a commercial mixer every day, and then we pull every wheat noodle by hand. There is flour in the air in our kitchens as a matter of course. We also boil every noodle in the same water, because we do not have a separate gluten free boiler.

So a gluten free noodle here means the noodle contains no gluten. It does not mean the dish is free from cross contamination, and no amount of care in the kitchen changes that. That distinction is fine for an intolerance and it is not fine for coeliac disease.
